About Dr. Bakali Mukasa

A cross-sector leader working at the intersection of agribusiness, investment, and public health

Dr. Bakali Mukasa

I work at the intersection of agribusiness, investment, and public health—three systems that, when aligned, have the power to transform economies and improve lives at scale.

My journey has been shaped by a simple but urgent question: How do we build systems that are both economically viable and socially impactful?

With a PhD and multidisciplinary experience, I have dedicated my career to designing and supporting solutions that strengthen agricultural value chains, improve community health outcomes, and unlock investment opportunities in underserved markets.

I bring over 10 years of experience teaching public health at the graduate level across several universities in the United States, alongside international exposure including work with the World Health Organization in Geneva. This combination has shaped a global, cross-sector perspective that connects agribusiness, investment, and public health into integrated, practical solutions.

What defines my approach is the ability to move between research, strategy, and real-world application—helping organizations think clearly, act strategically, and build systems that last.

Experience Highlights

Graduate-Level Teaching in the United States

Over the course of more than a decade, I have taught public health at the graduate level across several universities in the United States. This experience strengthened my ability to analyze complex systems, communicate clearly, and translate evidence into practical action.

World Health Organization, Geneva

My work with the World Health Organization in Geneva exposed me to global health systems, policy thinking, and international collaboration. It sharpened my understanding of how institutions operate at scale and how global frameworks can inform local solutions.

Areas of focus

Agribusiness

Value chains, commercialization, market systems, smallholder inclusion, and sustainable growth.

Investment

Investment readiness, enterprise strategy, growth planning, and scalable opportunity development.

Public Health

Health systems, community interventions, policy perspectives, and integrated development approaches.

How I work

I bring a systems perspective to complex challenges.

  • I start with analysis — understanding the context, constraints, and opportunities.
  • I then develop strategy — clarifying priorities, identifying leverage points, and shaping practical solutions.
  • Finally, I focus on implementation — ensuring that ideas are not only sound, but also usable, scalable, and sustainable.

"What defines my approach is the ability to move between research, strategy, and real-world application."

Let's explore how we can work together.
